Can you really be TOO pretty at work?

It has been reported on TV and in magazines of those unlucky Job Seekers who consider themselves simply "too pretty" to gain employment.

Finally, some good news for those suffering with this attribute. There is now scientific proof, thanks to the study in a USA University. It showed that this reasoning only applies to Women, not Men. It has the opposite effect for them. Highly attractive women were less respected and considered less trustworthy.

During the experiment, participants were asked based solely on photographs who should be fired. It was the prettiest  or those who were considered to be more attractive than the average person were more likely to be chosen.

Leah Shepherd, Assistant Professor concluded the experiments findings by explaining, "if you are stunningly beautiful, you are probably perceived as a threat."

I wonder if the birth of social media has anything to do with individuals perceiving beauty as a threat or not.
